We are currently fundraising to restore the farmed land to native prairies and to restore the barn for future use as a nature center and rentable facility. Everyone loves this park. You can come and hike, fish, hunt, kayak or canoe, cross country ski or sled down a hill. You can help too! Join us for workdays or gatherings!
Like our Facebook page, tell your friends or make a donation toward these
important recreational and conservation efforts. Thanks!
Over 125 acres of prairies are scheduled to be restored to their natural beauty with native species. Mowed trailes will be created for hikers and nature education. This five-year project will begin in winter 2016.
The majestic 85 year old barn just got a new roof in 2015, and the vents were cleaned and polished. Barn restoration plans continue and we hope to have the barn ready for public rental and educational use by 2017. The barn boasts over 1500 square feet on each of the two levels. the lower level will become a nature education center.
Bridge over the White River
A 50 foot bridge is being constructed in the fall of 2015 over the river just past the pond. This will provide access to the expansive trails, wetlands and woodlands on the south side of the river.
The bridges are now complete and they are beautifu!! the first bridge is just past the pond, about 1/2 mile into the park, and the other is further down the trail, linked on the south side of the river by a path along the ridge. New foreat trailes are being created on the south side of the river. Help us make them better kown by hiking them yourself!
